This book is one of the 30 in Desert Dreams: Explorations & Excavations of HK in Greater Syria 30-volume boxed set. Here HK claims to be "a desert creature" and in love with anything and everything about Greater Syria. Six prominent scenes from Syria are seamlessly combined to represent the many desert journeys of HK in Greater Syria, beginning with encounters with Arab caravans to various ruins (Palmyra, Castle of the Watch-tower, Crusader fortress, Roman Gate of the Winds, and the Basilica of Kalat Siman). HK's troublesome camel complained often during their travels across Syria. The images were drawn from the Library of Congress online collection. The interior pattern on the paper references HK's experiences in Damas (Damascus) while exploring the Palais Azem.
